Jhpiego is a non-profit global health organization affiliated with Johns Hopkins University. It was established in 1974 and initially focused on improving reproductive, maternal, and child health. The organization’s name comes from the initials of Johns Hopkins Program for International Education in Gynecology and Obstetrics, reflecting its beginnings in those medical specialties.
