ABOUT MOZAL

Mozal SA is a benchmark for mega-projects in developing countries; located in Maputo Province, Mozal produces high-quality, primary aluminium for the domestic and export markets.

WHAT MOZAL OFFERS:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

As a business partner human resources , you will be responsible to provide strategic support to business leaders in making good people decisions across the employee lifecycle including building strong teams, influencing employee relations and driving the Mozal and South32 culture.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Work within the South 32 Operating Model, including establishing and maintaining an interdependent safety culture within the team.
  • Provide professional, business-focused human resource service to a designated client group.
  • Coach leaders to take accountability for effective and consistent people decisions.
  • Work in partnership with lead teams to identify the people implications of strategic and business plans and initiatives.
  • Facilitate, evaluate, and provide guidance on all aspects of the employee life cycle including performance reviews, workforce planning, talent and succession planning.
  • Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies in partnership with client group.
  • Provide high quality industrial and employee relations advice and services, managing and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Conduct effective, fit-for-purpose and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, Industrial relations issues and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Administer end to end employee life cycle in HRIS (SF & SAP)
  • Maintain stakeholder relations and embody the company values

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as HR Generalist (Talent Management, Industrial Relations, Organizational Behavior, Change Management);
  • Experience in ERP: SuccessFactors or SAP HR desirable;
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills;
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English
Qualifications for this role are:
  • Relevant Degree in HR or Industrial Psychology or equivalent qualification
