ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position. Reporting to the Casthouse Manager

  • As a Superintendent Process Control &Improvement , you will be responsible to manage process parameters to ensure optimum output in a manner that safely achieves the Department Business Plans and key imperatives.
  • Lead and coach the team of Process Engineers;
  • Evaluate process inputs and services on a continuous basis in terms of availability, quality, performance and service level. Advise on feasibility of production targets;
  • Assess and improve production efficiently;
  • Initiate, implement and follow up action plans to address problem areas and deficiencies;
  • Authorize and control all process related operating procedures Liaise with services, maintenance and engineering departments as well as outside contractors to improve productivity, production efficiency and quality.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Motivate and empower subordinates and develop through coaching (mentoring) and training;
  • Monitors expectations, understanding and application of Production Execution processes within the team to support compliance with local requirements and Polices, Standards and Procedures;
  • Build cross-functional relationships with the Operational sub-functions to support the delivery of production targets;
  • Originate, implement and control process section business plans e.g. budget, raw materials, personnel and capital expenditure;
  • Ensure the area of service is positioned to overcome the varying technical challenges through the implementation of effective Maintenance Systems (planned, corrective and predictive) enabling the accomplishment of short and long-term goals and objectives.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Minimum 5 years in a Leadership role in an Industrial environment preferable in Smelting Processing.

Qualifications for this role are:

  • Degree in Science or Engineering field;
  • Knowledge of Aluminium process will be advantageous;
  • Demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English.
